To tell or not to tell. That was the question everyone was thinking. Gywtug could sense Kup, hovering just beyond reach, lost in the obscurity of the fungal foam drifts. It was dim enough in the bathhouse that Kup was just another body in the crowd, and Kanko would not feel watched. That was crucial. The human should feel it was wandering over for a casual conversation, and not understand that the whole room was silently listening in, anticipating its response. Gywtug didn't yet have Kanko's loyalty, and revealing the Plan might leave Kanko with an ominous impression, and unravel everything else pleasant and trustworthy between them. Then again, she could tell Kanko had a clear comprehension of justice-- more developed in human society than among the Mythtuf. Humans liked stories after all, and perhaps the story of the Mythtuf would be worth hearing.
